About the Opportunity: One of our clients, a well-established local architecture firm in Northern Texas, is seeking a Principal-in-Charge. This is a unique leadership opportunity to oversee major municipal, commercial, and educational projects while driving business development, managing project financials, and mentoring a growing team.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager for municipal projects (fire stations, police stations, libraries, city halls, courthouses, community centers, etc.) Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through construction administration Oversee project budgets, scheduling, contract negotiations, and closeouts Manage client relationships, deliver presentations, and ensure project profitability and satisfaction Mentor, train, and supervise junior architecture staff Cultivate existing relationships and actively pursue new business in the municipal sector
Required Qualifications: Proven experience in education, commercial, and/or municipal architecture sectors Advanced proficiency in Revit for design and production Strong project management background with oversight of budgets, schedules, and contracts Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience with junior team members Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including client presentation experience Established professional network/relationships in Northern Texas (highly preferred)
