About the Opportunity:
One of our clients, a reputable law firm specializing in litigation and insurance defense, is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The firm is committed to providing high-quality legal services and values paralegals who can deliver exceptional support to attorneys and clients while managing a busy caseload.
Paralegals at this firm strive to perform high-quality billable work for the benefit of clients and the support of attorneys. The ideal candidate will provide a high level of expertise in assisting clients and attorneys while effectively managing multiple cases and matters.
Primary Responsibilities: Obtain and manage client documents, including electronic data, and determine potential existence of documents relevant to each case Regularly conduct litigation, criminal, and civil background checks and obtain properly authenticated records as needed Accurately identify and prepare all documents for production including bates labeling and redacting for privileged and confidential information Assist in preparation for trial including managing exhibits and all evidentiary matters, witness lists, files, and subpoenas Coordinate and attend witness prep meetings; assist at trial Conduct online research and utilize the firm's electronic resources efficiently and effectively Summarize medical records, bills, and supporting documents; create medical chronologies and bill summaries Communicate with clients, carriers, and counsel effectively in a team environment Work closely with retained expert witnesses including review of qualifications, selection, retention, and serve as a general liaison between the firm and retained experts Review and ensure accuracy of vendor invoices; timely submit invoices to Accounting for processing Juggle multiple assignments and/or deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor

Education & Certification: College Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA Approved Program Florida Registered Paralegal, preferred
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience required Insurance Defense experience required Medical Malpractice claims experience preferred but not required Trial experience preferred
