Who Are We? We’re a Sequoia-backed legal AI startup building the future of in-house legal operations. Today, legal teams are slowed down by repetitive workflows, scattered institutional knowledge, and inefficient intake processes. We’re building an AI-powered intake and automation hub that helps legal teams triage requests, draft and redline contracts, and embed context directly into their workflows.
Founded by engineers with legal backgrounds, we already have design partners and paying customers, with a public launch planned for Fall 2025. We move fast, hire intentionally, and expect genuine curiosity about both the product and the problem space.

You’ll work directly with founders and senior engineers in a tight, in-person team.
You’ll expand your scope quickly—owning both frontend and backend components as the product evolves.

What Will You Do? Build and maintain customer-facing React components and Node.js backend services on GCP.
Collaborate in sprint-based workflows: writing user stories, estimating work, and delivering production-ready features.
Work closely with senior engineers on architectural decisions and evolving system design.
Ensure code quality through testing, thoughtful code reviews, and monitoring/alerting practices.
Troubleshoot production issues quickly and contribute to operational excellence.
Engage deeply with product requirements and legal workflows to build intuitive, scalable systems.
What Will You Need? 1–3 years of full-stack development experience with React, Node.js, and TypeScript (2 years is the sweet spot; 3–5 considered).
Strong frontend leaning with solid React experience.
Backend experience building APIs and services in Node.
CS degree required.
Experience at a FAANG, top-tier technology company, high-growth VC-backed startup (Series A–C), or having been a founder / founding team member.
Experience building customer-facing applications (not just internal tools).
Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and comfort in a fast-moving startup environment.
Genuine excitement about legal tech and early-stage company building.
Strongly Preferred Experience working with Postgres and writing SQL queries.
Strong GitHub presence or side projects (founders review code directly).
Startup experience where you helped ship products into production with customers.
Interest in ML/AI or prompt engineering.
