About This Role
Position Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and oversee all operations at their manufacturing facility in Wood Dale, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for driving overall plant performance, including production, quality, warehouse, customer service, and administrative functions. The Site Manager will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and a safe working environment while leading and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of plant operations including production, quality, warehouse, and administrative functions Drive performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability across the facility Ensure all quality standards and manufacturing objectives are consistently met Lead and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance and initiatives Manage and develop department leaders and staff to achieve company goals Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations to ensure timely and cost-effective output Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, efficiency, and productivity gains Oversee budgeting, capital expenditures, and cost control measures Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, quality, and operations teams Develop and implement process improvements and operational best practices Provide regular reporting and updates to executive leadership Lead contingency planning and problem-solving efforts to address operational challenges
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing leadership roles Strong understanding of supply chain processes including production, inventory, materials management, and logistics Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and influence outcomes Experience implementing process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Experience: Experience with polymerization processes or similar manufacturing systems ISO internal auditor experience Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen experience Experience working with hazardous materials
Work Environment & Requirements: Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed Ability to navigate the facility, including stairs, for daily production oversight Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required in production areas Minimal travel required
