About This Role
Avionics Electrical Engineer Compensation: $90,000 – $225,000 base + equity (TBD shares) Location: United States (Remote, Hybrid, or Onsite depending on project needs) Work Policy: Flexible, with potential onsite requirements for lab testing or final interview Stage: Early-stage deep-tech company | Series A | Scaling engineering team
Who Are We? We’re an early-stage, well-funded technology company building mission-critical systems where precision, safety, and reliability are essential. Our team consists of experienced engineers solving complex electrical and systems challenges across aerospace-grade and high-reliability environments.
As we scale, we’re looking for hands-on engineers who want real ownership and the opportunity to help shape core system architecture from the ground up.
What’s in It for You? This is a high-impact engineering role where your work directly influences system reliability and performance. You won’t be buried in process — you’ll be designing, integrating, testing, and solving real problems.
The compensation band supports both senior and staff-level engineers, and equity is included to align you with the long-term success of the company. You’ll collaborate with a technical team that values engineering rigor, thoughtful trade-offs, and practical execution.
What Will You Do? • Design and develop avionics electrical systems for mission-critical applications • Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical architectures • Perform integration across hardware, firmware, and control systems • Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations • Develop and execute electrical test plans • Support compliance and safety-critical design processes • Participate in design reviews and cross-functional collaboration • Assist with production and field-level troubleshooting as needed
What Will You Need? • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally in avionics, aerospace, or other high-reliability domains • Strong understanding of power systems, embedded electronics, and signal integrity • Experience with hardware integration and system-level troubleshooting • Familiarity with safety-critical standards and regulated environments • Proficiency with electrical design tools (Altium, OrCAD, or similar) • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Preferred Experience • Experience with flight control systems or aerospace platforms • Knowledge of redundancy design and fault tolerance methodologies • Experience supporting certification efforts • Collaboration with embedded firmware or control systems teams
This role is ideal for a hands-on avionics electrical engineer who enjoys solving complex system problems, takes ownership of their designs, and thrives in a fast-moving engineering environment.
